Shift Engineer
Location: Pwllheli, LL53 6NQ
Salary: £32,000 – £43,000 (DOE)
Contract Type: Permanent
Shifts: 4 on / 4 off – rotating 2 days, 2 nights
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established production facility, seeking a hands-on and versatile Shift Engineer to join a small on-site engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
The Role:
As part of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for ensuring all equipment and systems operate effectively and efficiently. You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete routine and preventative maintenance according to the site schedule
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns and faults
- Accurately record all work completed for compliance and audit purposes
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with current health & safety legislation
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced multi-skilled engineer (electrical bias preferred)
- Background in a high-volume or fast-paced production environment
- Familiar with PLC systems
- Proactive attitude with a flexible and hands-on approach
- Willing to work a continental shift pattern as required
