Fire & Security Service Engineer – North Birmingham / Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 basic depending on experience, plus overtime and travel. Realistic earnings of £40,000 – £50,000.
Hours: Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota of 1 week in 6.
An established electronic security company, operating for over 40 years, is looking for an experienced service engineer to cover North Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll look after a mix of commercial, industrial and domestic sites, doing routine maintenance and call-outs on fire and security systems.
What you’ll need
At least 5 years’ experience servicing and maintaining:
- Intruder alarms: Galaxy as a minimum. Texecom, Scantronic or Menvier is a bonus.
- CCTV: analogue and IP, including remote monitoring set-up.
- Fire alarms: advanced systems as a minimum. Kentec, Ziton or C-Tec is a bonus.
- Access control: Paxton Net2.
Fault-finding or installation experience is an advantage. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence, a good attendance record, comfort with IT (engineers use PDAs) and willingness to go through standard industry security screening.
