Clwyd Recruitment Solutions is working exclusively with one of the UK’s fastest-growing specialists in passive fire protection and ventilation compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Duct Fitter, Ventilation Engineer or Fire Damper Engineer to join a growing specialist team carrying out remedial fire damper works across hospitals, universities, government buildings and major commercial sites.
If you’ve worked on ventilation systems and want to develop into one of the UK’s most in-demand specialist trades, this could be the perfect next move.
The Role
Unlike traditional ductwork installation, this role focuses on upgrading existing ventilation and fire protection systems within live buildings.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Fire damper replacements and remedial works
- Installing new fire dampers
- Removing and replacing existing dampers
- Installing access doors
- Minor ductwork modifications
- Kitchen extract remedial works
- Working from remedial schedules and compliance reports
- Delivering high-quality work within occupied buildings
Projects are primarily across the North West, North Wales and Midlands, with occasional nationwide travel.
We’re Looking For
We’re looking for practical engineers who enjoy varied work and take pride in doing the job properly.
Ideal backgrounds include:
- Duct Fitter
- Ventilation Engineer
- Ductwork Installer
- Fire Damper Engineer
- Ventilation Remedials Engineer
Fire damper experience is beneficial but not essential. If you’ve got strong ductwork experience, full training and industry-recognised qualifications will be provided.
You’ll Need
- Duct fitting or ventilation experience
- Experience working on existing ventilation systems
- Ability to work independently
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Professional and client-facing attitude

- CSCS Card
- IPAF
- PASMA
